Cheer Camp

Addie has done cheer camp twice with Baylee.  The cheerleaders teach them cheers and they perform at a half time show.  She thinks cheer camp is one of the best things ever.

Once There Was A Snowman

This winter we didn't get a ton of snow down in the valley.  One Sunday we got enough to make snowmen.  I thought we would make one or two.  Dan decided to make our whole family.  The kids thought it was really cool that we each had our own.

100th Day of School

The first grade classes got to dress up like they were 100 for the 100th day of school.  We colored Kyler's hair gray with hair paint.  The stuff smelled awful!  He washed it out in the sink at school as soon as the parade was over.  The kids all looked so cute.

Vampire Baby

Stella for the longest time didn't have any front teeth. We had fun calling her our little vampire but we are happy her teeth have finally grown in.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Morning

Santa was so good to my kids! They were so excited about all the fun things they got. It was fun to see the excitement in their eyes.

St George

In December we went down to St. George to visit Brandi. She was home doing one of her rotations for 8 weeks. We had so much fun visiting her and staying with her family. They were so sweet to let us come down and invade their house for a few days. The kids loved climbing the red rocks. I just loved being down there. When Brandi graduates and moves to another state I will be so sad without her!

Santa

Emilie did an amazing job as always! Our Santa pics turned out so good. She suggested putting Stella on a chair by herself first with Santa in the background. She wanted to see how Stella would do. I told her let's just go for the shot and if she cries, she cries. As you can see, she was a little scared of Santa. Addie was so excited to see Santa. Kyler could tell that it was really Brian. So we explained to him Santa was too busy to come do photos.

Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween. It was busy. We had a fun time at the Adobe Halloween party thanks to Ryan. We went to a trunk or treat and went trick or treating. The kids got so much candy. Our little peacocks and our zombie loved every minute.

School Spirit Week

We had lots of fun getting ready for the different themed days.

Kyler Turns 7

I can't believe how big Kyler is getting. We are so blessed to have him in our family. He is so loving and helpful. Can;t believe he's only 6 months away from 8.

The Dirty Divas

Back in September I did the dirty dash with a bunch of wonderful ladies from my ward. We had a blast running in the mud!

Stella Turned 1!!!

The day after the funeral Stella turned 1. It was nice to celebrate the end of an amazing life and the beginning stages of another so close together. As a result of a busy not the best nap week, Stella was kind of a crank. With her being our big eater I thought she would devour the cake. She just picked at it. It was fun to celebrate with family still in town. I can't believe its been a year since we welcomed her into this world. She is a cutie. She is so clingy to me. She cries sometimes even when I am handing her to her dad. She is busy, busy, busy! Crawling and getting into everything. She's a climber. I often find her on to of the kids table. She definitely keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh. Happy Birthday our little angel!

The Day of the Funeral

One of the Great Ones

On September 4, 2011 our Heavenly Father received one of the greatest men I have ever known back into his service. Dan's dad passed away in his home surrounded my family. What an amazing man he was. A veteran who served his country well. After being shot down he was saved by the people of Slovakia. He served a mission in Slovakia after he finished his service to our country. He had such a love for the Slovak people. He always had the most amazing life stories to share. He was a very giving man and he meant the world to Dan. They were buddies. I feel blessed to not only have known him, but that I can call him family. I am grateful Kyler and Addie were able to have a good relationship with him before his mind started to slip. The kids loved him and he loved them. Even when they were a little wild he was always smiling. I know the Lord has much work for him to do. I know he is willing and grateful to be at his Heavenly Father's service.

Back to School

On August 22nd Kyler started 1st grade. He didn't have any problem adjusting to being at school all day long. He is loving it! He also loves taking the bus with all the kids in our neighborhood. On September 6th Addie started preschool. She is going to preschool at Kyler's school. She is really loving it. It's so hard to see them growing up so fast.

San Diego Temple & The Mormon Battalion

I finally got to see the San Diego temple in person. Next time my goal is to find a babysitter for my kids so we can go inside. It is such a beautiful temple. After we left the temple grounds we went to the Mormon Battalion historical site. We went and learned about the Latter-day saints that joined the U.S. Army and marched from Iowa to San Diego. It was a fun interactive site. The kids got to put on some of the army equipment and pan for gold.
